Meet the Board of btc, Inc.

Bridgit Pelley
Hello! I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I live in Danville with my husband, Mike, who is a retired fire captain, and our two kids. I work full-time in the tech industry and enjoy gardening, reading, cooking, and volunteering in my free time. Our daughter, Megan, graduated from Colorado State University and is an EMT, and our son, Aidan (btc Class of 2022), attends Cuesta College with plans to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and pursue a career in firefighting. I was the cofounder of the Alamo-Danville League and served as President, Parliamentarian, and VP of Teammates, along with Team Manager for the Class of 2022. I served as the Inc. VP of Philanthropy from 2022-2024 and am excited to continue my relationship with btc as your president. I look forward to working with you!

I live in the Denver area with my husband and three children, and we belong to the Mile High League. My only son, Tanner, is btc Class of 2026. I served as my league VP Comms for two years before joining the Inc board. I love both components of boys team charity: the meetings, where we hear terrific speakers and enjoy one another’s fellowship; and the philanthropy opportunities, where my husband and I serve alongside our son in our community. We believe strongly in the philosophy of boys team charity, and I’m pleased to serve with Melinda as your VP Communications.

Melinda Safdarzadeh
I am a part of the South Placer County League in California. I helped to form that league and served on the board prior to joining the Inc board.

I am honored to continue serving on the Inc. Board as Past President and co-VP Expansion this year after having served as Inc. President, President Elect, and VP Communications. Through our three Teammates, my husband and I have been members of the Walnut Creek League since 2019 where I served as President, VP Communications, and Past President/Parliamentarian and will continue to be active coaches until 2028. Our daughter, inspired by her brothers, is an NCL Ticktocker.

Diana Kwong
I’m from the San Tan League in Arizona, and my husband and I joined boys team charity with our son, Kiran, Class of 2026.

Lauren Buchwald
This is my fifth year in boys team charity, Sonoran Fiesta League in Phoenix, Arizona. I have served as Secretary, co-VP of Membership, and President for my league. I was also a member of National Charity League for six years in the Sonoran Centennial chapter with my daughter. My son will be a junior at Chaparral High School, and my daughter will be a sophomore at the University of Michigan. Go Blue! I am looking forward to working with all of the VPs of Membership for the next two years.

While a Jersey girl at heart, I am now a ten-year resident of Walnut Creek, California. I have been a member of the btc Diablo League since 2023. This past year I served as League VP of Philanthropy, and I will continue to stay involved in my league as a liaison. My son, who is a current teammate, will enter his freshman year of high school this year and I have a daughter who will enter middle school. Whether on the slopes in the winter or enjoying lake activities and hiking, you can find my family and me in Lake Tahoe or Tahoe Donner when sports are not dictating our lives! I am excited to work with and learn from each of you!

I have two sons (2024 and 2026) and have been a member of the btc Saratoga League since my older son started seventh grade (2018!). I can hardly believe how quickly time has flown—our family is already in our final year of membership! As our League Secretary, I hope to have a seamless transition to Inc Secretary and hope to support the Leagues Secretaries by making their jobs easier and more efficient. Before stepping into the League Secretary role, I was the co-Team Coach for my younger son’s team for two years. It’s been an incredibly rewarding ride volunteering with my sons and getting those extra moments to spend time with them (especially during the COVID years). Professionally, I work as a school psychologist in an elementary-middle school district in the South Bay Area. After spending my days working closely with students—and then coming home to my own—I’m looking forward to collaborating with adults in this next chapter of my volunteering journey!

I hail from the Ahwatukee League in Arizona, and my wife and I are in boys team charity with our son, Jack, who is Class of 2026. I look forward to serving boys team charity in this new capacity!

My son has been a member of the Orinda League since 2022, and we both have really enjoyed all the volunteering with btc community over the past two years. As Inc. Treasurer, I’m here to support all of you. As a full-time working mom, I really appreciate all the commitment for this organization while balancing everything else in life. I look forward to working with everybody.
